Kyoto Diary Part I
Indie goes Japan
After traveling around Osaka for 4-5 days, our next stop was Kyoto! Everyone kept recommending Kyoto and now I know why. With a shrine around every corner and the whole city looking like straight from of a traditional Japanese movie, there was something to photograph around every corner.
Traditional kimonos, little street markets and girls dressed in Yukatas everywhere! I've tried to write down my absolute favorites as far as I remember.
Three Star - Vintage Shop (〒604-8042, 中之町（新京極通）) A huge shop full of (mainly american) vintage clothe. The do have a separate area just for Yukatas and prices are very moderate almost cheap for Japanese matters.
Soto - restaurant (〒604-8187 京都府京都市中京区 姉小路東洞院東入ル北側 笹屋町 446 井上ビル B1F) One of the best restaurants, definitely one of the cheapest. You order a lot of different little things, and share it with the whole table. It was also in the same street we had our airbnb in!
The golden temple (Kinkaku-ji 1 Kinkakujicho, Kita Ward, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture 603-8361, Japón) That was the one tourist attraction I definitely wanted to do. Looking at so many photos I couldn't imagine it to be better in real life. But it was so beautiful and the sun made it shimmer even more!
Nishiki Market (Japón, 〒604-8054 Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto, Nakagyo Ward 富小路通四条上る西大文字町609) A huge street full of little vendors that sell all kinds of food! It's a crowded but super nice place that is perfect for shopping little souvenirs and to try all sorts of things you have probably never seen in your life before.
