I am a super competitive person and especially if I have equally competitive team members there is almost no game I won't try to win. Well during our stay in Vietnam we had four teams (us being the "tidal wavers") and three challenges. The whole event was hosted by no other than Nick Jonas by the way, little side note! We started of with a dance battle, but not just any dance battle. We had to do a choreography on something that reminded me of quicksand. The difference being that if you danced quick enough and hard enough the surface stayed pretty solid. Only when you became tired, you would sink in. Never have my legs burned as much but hey we won both rounds and latest by then "competition mode" was on.
Day two meant game two... the water ball fight! Huge buckets full of water balloons and A massive pine apple as a goal. This was a mix of dodge ball and trying to aim for the small hole at the top of the pine apple and by far my favourite game of the all. Everything that includes a ball (even if that is in form of a water balloon), count me in. Nick Jonas had the meaningful task to keep us cool at all times and kept spraying water over the whole field which was heating up like crazy. Well to make things short we also won the second game! It's crazy what a few games, food vibes and team spirit can do do a group that 48 hours ago was just a bunch of strangers.
- Day three started with a trip to the desert where the Malibu team built up a huge water slide! Seriously I've never seen anything like that in terms of production. Our task was to slide down, and while in the air catch a spongy pineapple that was thrown to us by Nick Jonas. It looked like a lot of fun but since I'm not the best swimmer and that slide was pretty steep (in my eyes) I kept to cheering on my team in the last challenge. It also seemed nearly impossible to catch that pineapple and at the end only one person managed. Everyone else had a lot of fun sliding though.
- This being a quick recap... at the end our team didn't win although we won two out of three challenges... I kinda lost track how the points where given out. It didn't matter too much at the end as it all ended with a super awesome beach party.Last but not least I also have a way for you to participate at the summer games. It might not be Vietnam but therefore there are a bunch of prizes waiting for the best of the best. This how it goes. You buy a bottle of Malibu Rum and activate the landing page via your smart phone (there's a NFC Chip in every Malibu bottle). You then log in on the website via facebook and pick one of the three challenges presented. After you completed one challenge, the next one will appear. Alltogether there are eight of them and you can only play every challenge once. If you play at least one of the challenges you are in the mix for a special prize, but keep in mind the challenge only runs until September 30th.
Now you are ready to play a set of summer games? It's def. worth checking out! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
