Amsterdam Open Air 2016

Advertorial: UNEEK

I'm a big fan of brands that have ideas, that are creative, that do something new and unexpected. Last Weekend I've been traveling to the Amsterdam Open Air with UNEEK. I've been in the Netherlands a lot recently but somehow never really made it to Amsterdam. The city is so beautiful especially in summer when everyone get's to be outside. We stayed in one of the most photographic hotels I've ever been to! The Student Hotel has decorated every corner to make it worth a shot!

On Saturday then we started early in the morning to check out the location of the Amsterdam Open Air. Instead of raving we had other things to do! Together with UNEEK and four other bloggers from across Europe (Michael, Kristy, Sam & Slanelle) we were each designing our own little room - our UNEEK experience as they called it! I wanted to have something completely pink... surprise, surprise! Wallpaper, furniture everything. Didn't think it through because that meant a lot of painting while it had 30 degrees outside. But once you get into it, there's no stopping! Thanks to the UNEEK girls we had water, coconuts or anything else we wanted to drink every ten minutes. That was probably the only thing that kept me from getting a sun stroke.

The idea behind the art work was to create your very own little dream world. UNEEK invited us to be and do whatever we wanted. As their theme is: "With UNEEK you're free to explore a universe of self-expression". I like brands that have the guts to work with creative minds and let them do what they want. My Pink room was based on UNEEK's pink sneaker that ended up to be my favorite one! I wanted a little surreal world where that sneaker could fit in like a chameleon. The end result was a perfect little pink photo booth. Before things ended we got to dance a little and then hay fever took over and I had to spend the evening in the hotel. Too bad, because the festival looked really promising and the music was a little bit of everything. My favourite stage had everything from the Spice Girls to TLC.

All together it was an amazing weekend, perfect weather and a great experience. Also I found my perfect festival shoe. As I'm not a fan of most practical shoes due to aesthetics, I finally found a pink alternative! If you're living close to the Netherlands I can online recommend you the Amsterdam Open Air!
