London Collections Men

It's London Fashion Week again and I tend to like the men's version even better than the women's season in February. One of my absolute highlights being the Astrid Andersen show. She somehow manages to always show very masculine outfits that use all kind of feminine materials. For example: wet look pants, shiny materials, velour, pink lace and crushed velvet. On the other side she uses basketball sweaters, tracksuits and military headpieces to achieve an amazing mix.

Her amazing choice of models complete the show. Great characters, (my favourite one being the freckled face) very unique looks and especially the variety of guys make the outfits even more interesting. The only pieces I didn't dig as much were the black and white checked coats. They just remind me too much of my grandpa. But we're talking about taste and criticism at a very high level.

I still think it's such a shame that Astrid isn't also designing women's wear. I'd be her number one client. Looking very much forward what London Fashion Week has to offer next. Especially when it comes to the shows of KTZ and Nasir Mazhar.
