OUT NOW: "The Unique Characters Issue"
Adidas Originals Series
I'm still a little speechless and on the edge of believing it all. After seeing two amazing blogs curate the "adidas orignals series" (artschoolvets, evewithoutadam) around two month ago I got the chance to be responsible for a whole magazine. Piece of cake? Uff, little did I know! 22 pages seem to be so few and so much at the same time. Getting to hold the final printed version in my hands feels still very surreal!
A huge thank you goes to everyone who was a part of this issue, especially two lovely ladies without nothing of that would have been possible. Thank you Christina for almost spending 72 hours non stop working with me, and Anna who was right in the moment I agreed to do this project. You two babes are my world!
And here it comes "The Unique Characters Issue" curated by PAPERBOATS! (soooo proouuuud!!!!)
"Down with the Clique" Shooting
This is probably my favourite part, simply because I know how much work that was. 16 hours of shooting, 27 girls and 2 video teams made this the hardest working day I can remember, EVER! All those amazing girls looking fabulous and doing me such an amazing favour! I can't even say how much that meant to me! If you want to see some backstage photos and a making of video click here.
Rita Ora Interview
She, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful girls in music business at the moment. I love how she mixes hip hop fashion elements, the tomboy look and red lips. I'll probably have to get every single piece of her collection she did with adidas originals. Having an interview with her was definitely a dream come true.
Dandy Diary Feature!
David was one of the first people I got to know in Berlin, and Jakob I already knew from my time in Hamburg. I think it's absolutely amazing what those two guys have accomplished, and their blog Dandy Diary is my absolute favourite in Germany! Check out more photos here!
Character heads!
5 stunning personalities that I met somewhere along my road in Berlin all agreeing when I asked to shoot them. The projected background reveals something about each personality and gives them something they have in common. For more insights, check those making of pictures!
Cata Pirata - Skip&Die
I met power lady Cata Pirata a year ago during an interview at SONAR festival. I've rarely met such an inspiring personality and when I got the chance to choose someone for a feature she was definitely the first on mind. Combined with one of my biggest girl crushs Nike babe, the result exceeded all my expectations.
Lachsbrötchen & ZXFlux
I met Anna while studying in Hamburg and she is very different to all those other bloggers around. Her visual mind is beyond and it gets me every time. I'm a huge fan of her food photography and I can't imagine anything better than a photo by Anna on a sneaker!
Last but not least... there is always something to win!
Flipping through the magazine you will notice loads of little paperboats. Every outfit that is marked with one could be yours! And here is what you have to do: Snap a photo of your favourite outfit in the magazine,
post it on your instagram
channel (#adidasOriginalsSeries; @adidas_de) and then keep your fingers crossed to win the outfit!
