Shooting: "Somewhere over the Rainbow"

Adidas Shooting

Personal projects are a thing... there is usually never enough time or money to make them come true! I had this idea in my mind for a long time and just never gotten around to actually do it as the production exceeded my budget a little. So when adidas offered to help out and had the matching sneaker for the idea, it seemed like the perfect match.
The Superstar collaboration between adidas originals and Pharrell resulted in 50 shades of rainbow coloured sneakers. We picked eleven for our own shooting as that seemed a little more realistic since we had to find a person for every colour. Talking of people... I love a character face over a model face every time, and since there are so many interesting people amongst my friends and people I know, those were exactly the people I wanted in the photos. Equal display of gender, race and age (I kinda failed the last one), to make it as diverse as possible. Maybe I should have shot 50 colours as it was extremely hard to make a choice of only 11 people.

All of them doing it for free simply to support the project, so the biggest thank you goes to them. Highlighting one person though, as she helped be create all the backgrounds as well as making the whole shoot happen and keeping an eye on catering, organisation and simply never getting tired. Tilly: KISSES for you, I wouldn't have made it without your help!
Same goes for adidas originals. I've never had a more loyal and long lasting brand relation. They've been supportive straight from the beginning up until now and they always had faith that my crazy ideas would somehow turn out alright. That kind of freedom in working with a commercial brand is very rare, and very appreciated. Lucky for me they also make bad as sneaker and fashion that I have and endless wish list of products every season!

I hope you enjoy the result as much as I do, especially the video filmed by my super talented friend! Let me know your thoughts, and check out all the credits below!
